Selecting Textures

Every card begins with choosing the perfect paper. We carefully select from our collection of artisan papers, each with unique weight, texture, and character. From smooth cotton blends to handmade deckle-edge sheets, the foundation sets the tone.

We consider color palettes, occasion, and how the paper will interact with our design elements. This first step is crucial—it's where the card's personality begins to emerge.

Crafting the Base

With paper selected, we measure, score, and fold each card by hand. Precision matters—a clean fold creates a professional finish that machine-made cards can't replicate.

We use bone folders to ensure crisp, lasting creases. For special designs, we might tear edges for an organic look, or layer multiple papers to create depth and dimension.

Adding Illustrations

This is where magic happens. Using watercolors, inks, or hand-drawn elements, we bring each design to life. Some cards feature abstract washes of color, while others showcase detailed botanical illustrations.

Each brushstroke is intentional. We work slowly, allowing layers to dry between applications. The result is artwork that has depth, movement, and soul—something you simply can't achieve with digital printing.

Final Details

The finishing touches make all the difference. We add custom envelopes with decorative liners, hand-letter addresses in calligraphy, and pour wax seals for an extra touch of luxury.

Each card is inspected for quality, placed in protective packaging, and prepared for its journey. We believe the unboxing experience should be as special as the card itself.

Why Process Matters

In a world dominated by speed and efficiency, we choose to slow down. Each card takes time—sometimes hours—to complete. But that time is what gives our work meaning.

When you send a handmade card, you're not just sending paper. You're sending the care of the artist who created it, the thought that went into every detail, and a piece of something authentic in an increasingly digital world.

That's the difference between a card and a keepsake.
